  The location after the southern end of the corniche provided a quick escape from the weekend corniche traffic. The buffet breakfast spread was abit more varied than regular, there was a live egg cooking station. Staff were friendly and helpful; Mansour Alam from reception called in advance to confirm my reservation to keep the room ready, and he even generously upgraded our family to the suite. The room was spacious and clean, but the flooring was slippery and felt soapy, probably due to being mopped with heavy soap and not rinsed properly afterwards. That made it very uncomfortable to walk around the room, the carpets also felt soapy.
  Considering it was not a busy weekend, we managed to easily get parking right in front of the hotel and there were plenty spots. There was a laundry just beside the hotel and a well stocked shop about 2 minutes walk nearby too.
